www.gq.com reports:The Vibe for Fall 2010: If there's any doubt it's a new decade, no need to look any further than Dior Homme. The label that more than any other championed the look of All Things Skinny in the 2000s has apparently decided it's okay to let it loose—cascading overcoats of Gandolfian proportions, drop-crotch trousers cropped very, very short and, when in doubt, black anything and everything. It's still all very cutting-edge—just no longer cut so close.

Founded: 1946, Paris
History: Though the Dior brand originated in 1946, Dior Homme—at least as it's thought of today—came into being in 2001, when Hedi Slimane took over as creative director and brought a welcome dose of rock 'n' roll to men's fashion. His radically slim new silhouette was both a commercial and critical success (it also famously inspired fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld to drop more than 90 pounds so he could wear the clothes). Slimane left Dior in 2007 and was succeeded by former assistant Kris Van Assche, who has begun to put his own stamp on the collection. The Look: At-work attire for after-hours denizens.
